Rajendra (Raj) Aphale is international Consultant and Trainer, having total experience of 33 years.
Raj Aphale is a graduate of Indian Institute of Technology Mumbai, Masters in Management
Studies from Mumbai university and a law graduate in addition to being a management
accountant (associate member of Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India). Raj also holds
a Certificate of Practice as Cost Accountant. Raj has passed the Limited Insolvency Examination
conducted by Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India. Raj has also passed the qualifying
examination for Independent Directors conducted by Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs.
Before starting work as an independent consultant and trainer Raj worked
with Godrej and Boyce (Corporate Planning), Godrej GE Appliances (Business Development),
Mafatlal Industries (Strategy Planning and Systems) and Mukand (Process Engineer). He also
worked with Siemens Information Systems in the HR domain.
Raj works in the areas of strategy, business planning and helps businesses in planning and
implementation of strategies. His work includes project reports, valuation of businesses, business
turnaround, balanced scorecards, cost structure and using management accounting in project
planning, and kaizen and lean manufacturing. Through Ooerational Excellence, he helps
businesses to minimise waste, and improve productivity and quality. He has helped companies
like Larson and Toubro, Tata Motors, Mahindra, Saint Gobain, Heiniburg Thailand, CAS
Indonesia, Victaulic USA, Global Autotech and many more. He has done start-ups and combined
all the faculties to effectively manage programs in the agreed time and cost budgets. Raj has
expertise in turn around of troubled businesses.
Raj worked on joint ventures including Godrej and GE, he has also worked on acquisitions.
His role in them had been covering strategy, financial aspects, HR integration, legal aspects and
others.
He has worked in many countries (18) particularly in South East Asia, Africa, Middle East and
Europe.
Raj is an accomplished trainer in all the above areas, including Strategy, Business and
Financial Acumen, Operational Excellence, Business Analytics and Human Resources. People from
corporate India as well as abroad attend his training. Participants from WIPRO Technologies, TCS,
